Brief info
Tammi Mercedes, ARNP is a native of Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and in Ambulatory Care by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2012.
Tammi has a total of 20 years nursing experience in various areas of patient care including: allergy, asthma, immunology, pulmonology, case management, hyperbaric medicine, orthopedics, primary care and operating and recovery room. She also serves as the Nurse Manager for Primary Care Outpatient Clinics at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition, she is a member of several professional organizations, including the Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurses Council and the Florida Nurses Association. Her special interests include: orthopedic infections, wound care and HIV.
