Dr. Jane Mai attended the University of Florida where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. She completed her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Communicable Diseases in the Department of Global Health at the University of South Florida. Dr. Mai completed medical school, her Internal Medicine residency, and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.
Dr. Mai was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2013. She holds an academic appointment as a Collaborative Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Mai has been recognized as “Top Doctor” of Tampa from 2022 to 2025. Her interests include: care of critically ill ICU patients, HIV and Hepatitis C management, antimicrobial stewardship, infection control, orthopedic infections and global health medicine. Dr. Mai joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2015.
