Krystal Taylor is a Tampa native, she graduated in 2011 from Galen College of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing. In 2011, she started her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital-Main working on the medical surgical unit providing post operative care for patients. While working at St. Joseph Hospital, she graduated in 2014 from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Shortly after, Krystal decided to further her education at South University, where she received a Master of Science in Nursing in 2017. Krystal is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). As a nurse practitioner, she has been providing perioperative care to hospitalized surgical patient at St. Joseph Hospital-North. Additionally, she cares for patients with orthopedic and neurological procedures. She works alongside multiple disciplines to support the provider-patient relationship and plan of care. Her goal is to optimize patient care through prevention and proactive interventions based on evidence-based guidelines which incorporate patient self-management. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurses Council. Her special interests include: the care of chronically critically ill patients, chronic wounds, and infectious diseases.
