Brief info

Dr. Nadeem Khan, originally from Chicago, came to Tampa in 2001 to pursue his fellowship in Infectious Disease at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Khan completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ravenswood Hospital, University of Illinois College of Medicine. After completing the ID fellowship at USF, he joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2003.

Dr. Khan serves as the Medical Director of the Infection Prevention for both AdventHealth Wesley Chapel and AdventHealth Tampa. He currently serves as the Internal Medicine GME Subspecialist Education Director for Infectious Disease and serves on the Medical Executive Committee at AdventHealth Tampa. He has also been elected Vice Chief of Staff in 2025.

Dr. Khan is a Sub Investigator for Clinical Trials in HIV and Hepatitis C at the Comprehensive Research Institute. Dr. Khan’s interests include HIV, complicated intra-abdominal infections, orthopedic infections, as well as travel medicine. He is also passionate about educating the new generation of physicians and is actively involved with the Internal Medicine, transitional year residency program at AdventHealth Tampa.

Dr. Khan is based out of our Wesley Chapel location where he is leading our outpatient infusion program. He is also the director of Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay’s skilled nursing facility program. He is board certified in Infectious Disease and is fluent in Spanish and Urdu.
