Brief info
Dr. Ryan Cardew is a native of Florida. He attended the University of South Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science and a major in Biomedical Sciences. He also attended the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida; where he earned his medical doctor degree in 2016. Dr. Cardew moved to Philadelphia to pursue his Internal Medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center. During his residency, he earned the Richard Levy MD Memorial Award for the outstanding performance on infectious disease rotations. He also served as Chief Resident for one year at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. He continued his training at Northwestern University in Chicago of Northwestern McGaw Medical Center, where he completed his Infectious Diseases fellowship.
Dr. Cardew is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Infectious Diseases.
He has Medical State Licenses in Florida and Illinois. Dr. Cardew is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Dr. Cardew joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in July 2023.
