Brief info

Dr. Shuchi Pandya graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. She completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies with Highest Honors. Dr. Pandya chose to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Seton Hall University in New Jersey. She relocated to Florida for her Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Infectious Disease Fellow for a year and was the recipient of Jeffrey P Nadler excellence in research award for 2016-2017.

Dr. Pandya is Board Certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine and recognized as “Top Doctor” in 2023; she is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. She has served in many practice improvement committees during her residency and has made several presentations at national meetings. She served as Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at Tampa Community Hospital for two years and has been a physician volunteer at BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic and Tampa Bay Street Medicine. She is the Medical Director of the Infection Control program and serves as Chair of the Infection Control Committee at South Florida Baptist Hospital. She is also the Chief of the Department of Medicine at South Florida Baptist Hospital. Her interests include: Infections in immunocompromised patients, care of critically ill patients, HIV management, Hepatitis C, travel medicine, infection prevention, occupational health and antimicrobial stewardship. She joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2017. In addition to English, Dr. Pandya is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, and medical Spanish.
