Angela Alcala is a native of the Tampa Bay Area. She worked as an LPN for two years and decided to further her education. Subsequently, she graduated with her Associates in Science in Nursing from Galen College of Nursing in 2011. In 2017, she finished her Bachelors in Science in Nursing from Chamberlin University where she later completed a Masters in Science in Nursing in 2019. She began her career at an infectious disease and respiratory unit at Advent Health Carrollwood. She has also benefited of 12 years of varied bedside nursing experience, including working in a progressive care unit. Additionally, she has also worked in home health providing IV infusion and has experience in case management.
Angela is a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner credentialed through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and a member of the Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurse Council.
Currently, Angela specializes in the care of chiropractic patients; completing initial assessments, diagnosing and treating injuries with physical therapy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, boating, and fishing. Angela joined Infectious Disease Associates Tampa Bay in 2021.
